About Us
At the Professional Training Centre (PTC) it is our mission to work in partnership with individuals and the business community to provide high quality, flexible and innovative training solutions that can be delivered regionally and nationally.
Appreciating that individuals and companies are unique, we understand your training needs are too. Aspiring to fulfil these specific requirements through our extensive network of expertise, our wide range of courses all support skills development and many lead to professional and vocational qualifications.
Individuals can book courses for the dates shown in our training directory, or our Business Training Advisors can talk to you about your organisation’s specific needs. This gives your staff the benefit of training which is totally in line with their work. Training can be delivered at the PTC, in-house or at a venue of your choice.
The PTC was set up in 1989 and forms part of a Limited Company, so it is aware of the pressures small businesses face. Our parent company is Colchester Institute, which allows us to offer a breadth of expertise and physical resource right on our doorstep, enabling us to stand out from the crowd. Colchester Institute now has three Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in Hospitality, Professional and Technician Construction and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
