Jailbreak!

24 hours…..no money……no transport….how far can we get?

The PTC has got a team involved in April’s Colchester Charity Jailbreak. The event is in aid of four charities and The PTC has chosen to support Essex Air Ambulance and Essex Autistic Society. The event commences on Saturday 19th April in Colchester Castle.

The idea of a jailbreak is that participants have 24 hours to get as far away as possible from their starting point which in this case is Colchester Castle. The team cannot spend any of their own money and cannot use their own or friends transport.

There are 3 potential prizes for Jailbreak:

  1. Jet-setters prize – for the furthest overall distance travelled.
  2. Adventurers Prize – Most unusual destination
  3. Go-getters prize – furthest distance using the most modes of transport

Could you help?

We have approached many organisations for help already but would really appreciate any support you can give us in this event. Do you know anyone in the transportation industry that could help us? Taxis, trains, planes and cars, any form of transportation would help us in our escape!

Don’t forget though, we need to be chained to our desk by Monday morning!

This event is a great chance to raise money for these worthwhile causes and so if you can contribute in any way with transportation or sponsorship then please contact Rebecca Herrett on 01206 518194 or rebecca.herrett@colchester.ac.uk
