Bookings

To make a provisional booking please telephone 01206 712727. You will then be sent an application form which you need to return with payment within 15 working days. On receipt of your application, an acknowledgment letter will be sent to you followed by joining instructions nearer the time of the course.

To enable maximum comfort but sufficient interaction, course numbers are limited. Please book early to reserve specific dates.

Course fees

These are to be returned by you with the booking form and need to be received before the course commences. Please read the course entry for prices and remember to add VAT. Fees are inclusive of morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch for full day courses. VAT receipts will be issued.

Course dates, timings and location

The majority of courses have dates allocated which can be found with the course information. Where indicated, please apply for dates. Please note that course times vary from course to course which will be indicated in the joining instructions. Prices for most full day courses include tea/coffee and lunch. Prices for most half day/evening courses include refreshments. Details of coffee and lunch breaks will be issued on the day. All courses will be held at the PTC at Colchester Institute unless otherwise stated.

Training support literature

It is usual to be supplied with comprehensive course notes at each course.

Cancellations and substitutions

Delegates can be substituted at any time without extra cost, unless exam entries have already been made. Should any delegate wish to cancel their place on a course, cancellation fees could be incurred. If a delegate wishes to transfer a booking, there will be an administrative charge of 25% of the course fee. This charge will be applicable each time a transfer takes place. If a transfer is then cancelled at any time, the course fee remains payable. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Booking for precise details.

Unfortunately we are unable to run courses that are under subscribed so all our courses are subject to a certain minimum enrolment. Occasionally we are forced to cancel a course. If this happens we will let you know as soon as we can and refund your enrolment fee.

Career Development Loans

The CDL (Career Development Loan) scheme is designed to help those people who want to improve their career prospects but who require some financial assistance to invest in suitable education or training.

A CDL is simply a deferred repayment bank loan to help you pay for vocational education or training.

Construction Skills grants (formerly known as CITB grants)

The Construction Skills (CS) Grant Scheme is intended for those undertaking courses where the subject is based upon, or is directly related to the construction industry. The PTC run several courses which may entitle you to a CS grant subject to CS rules and regulations.

The CS Grant Scheme is run annually and training that occurs will be subject to the CS Grant Scheme rules in force at the time.
