Introduction:

Conflict in itself can be healthy and challenging. However, problems can arise when it is not dealt with effectively. This practical workshop will explore how and why conflicts arise and how they can be prevented. Delegates will have an opportunity to sample some proven techniques for dealing with conflict.

On completion of the workshop, delegates will have:

  • A greater understanding of what constitutes conflict and why it occurs
  • Identified appropriate responses to difficult situations
  • Developed techniques for handling negative emotions, eg: anxiety, fear
  • An understanding of how to use effective strategies for dealing with and resolving conflict
  • Increased their confidence to deal assertively with conflict within the working environment

This is an interactive workshop including questionnaires, partner and group work, demonstration and practice, discussion and evaluation.
