Introduction:
This course covers the phenomenon of death, with a special emphasis on implications for older persons. Issues such as the meaning of death, the dying process, and supporting clients, families and care staff through the bereavement process, are examined.

Course objectives/key benefits:
By the end of the course delegates will have a greater understanding of the issues relating to ageing, death and bereavement as well as the skills to positively support their clients and colleagues through the bereavement process.
