Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2392 - 10)

Cost: £550 + VAT (+£7.00 exam fees) 

Dates:   25, 26, 27 28 October 2010. 

24 January, 14, 21 February and 07 March 2011.  

11, 12, 13, 14 April 2011. 

Duration: 3 and a ½ days consisting of a mixture of theory and practice. 2 hours assessment per candidate.

 

Introduction:

This three day course covers the theory and practice of the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations.

 

Course objectives/key benefits:

This qualification was developed in conjunction with the electrical industry in order to meet the needs of the industry and centres to provide candidates with an introduction in how to inspect and test (conduct the initial verification) of electrical installations.

 

Who the course is aimed at:

It is aimed at practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training before going on to achieve the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2391 - 10).

 

Course content:

Assessment relating to the inspection, testing and certification will be in the following format:

  • Induction day, introducing the elements required to attain the C&G 2392 certificate. A further 2 days of instruction which includes both theory and practice.
  • Assessment relating to the certificate:
  • 2391/10 Inspection, Testing and Certification by a one hour on line multiple-choice examination.
  • 2391/10 Inspection, Testing and Certification practicals - 2 hours

Training method:

Practical and written material.

 

Course outcome/qualification:

Successful candidates will receive the City & Guilds Certificate (C&G 2392-10 Level 2)

 

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

For those with limited experience of inspection, testing of electrical installations, such as those:

  • Entering the industry from other engineering disciplines
  • Working in allied trades
