Introduction:

This course covers the legal requirement for PAT Testing and does not require participants to take a City & Guilds theory examination.

 

Course objectives/key benefits:

On completion delegates will be able to undertake and record inspection and testing of electrical equipment.

 

Who the course is aimed at:

Those who will be undertaking the inspection and testing of portable electrical equipment in their place of work.

 

Course content:

  • How to develop a portable appliance testing file
  • Practical, hands on demonstrations and practice of undertaking PAT testing on 230/110 volt equipment
  • Evaluation of new skills

Seminar, practical ‘hands-on’ exercise.

 

Course outcome/qualification:

PTC Certificate of Attendance.

 

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

Limited knowledge of electrical equipment and installations.
