This course is for those wishing to install solar hot water systems.

For those with all the identified pre-requisite qualifications listed registration onto the micro-generation scheme can be sought.
Who the course is aimed at:
The course is intended for experienced plumbers; heating engineers or gas/oil installers who wish to be able to satisfy the requirements of the building Regulations in relation to this renewable technology.

· Understanding solar thermal technology
· Design and installation
· Feed in tariffs
· Maintenance of solar thermal dhw systems

Powerpoint presentations and hands on practical demonstrations
Course outcomes:
BPEC Certificate in Installation/Maintenance of Solar Thermal dhw Systems
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualifications:
Appropriate NVQ or similar in Plumbing/Heating or a gas/oil certificate; Water Regulation qualification; Unvented dhw qualification.
