Introduction:
In 1999 local Water Bylaws in England and Wales were replaced by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. This course is designed to update candidates and assess their knowledge.
Course objectives/key benefits:
On completion plumbers will have up-to-date knowledge of this important legislation, which is used to control the installation and use of water supply systems.
Who the course is aimed at:
Practising plumbers with experience in hot and cold water systems, anyone involved in the installation, design and specification of water systems as well as those learners with limited previous experience.

Training method:
Open-learning package and one day training and assessment.
Course outcome/qualification:
Upon successful completion operatives will be awarded a BPEC/WRAS Certificate and will be able to apply for approved contractor status, subject to criteria laid down by the water companies.
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:
None required, however, a basic understanding of the working principles of domestic cold and hot water supply systems would be advantageous.
