Introduction:

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 requires that users of work equipment receive adequate training for purposes of health and safety. This includes training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment, associated risks and precautions to be taken. This duty extends to any employee who supervises or manages the use of work equipment. The aim of this course is to train people in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standards of competency to use gas powered nailing equipment safely and correctly.

 

Course objectives:

On completion of this course, delegates will be able to state the regulations covering the use of work equipment, have a good understanding of the hazards arising from the use of work equipment, precautions to be taken, workplace checks, end-user safety checks, personal checks, machine checks and how machines are guarded.

PTC Certificate of Attendance.
