Introduction:
Almost all employers in manufacturing, processing, distribution, retailing and service provision must comply with the COSHH regulations.

Course objectives/key benefits:
On completion, delegates will acquire a sound knowledge of the framework of the COSHH regulations and their practical application in the workplace.  They will be capable of completing and reviewing COSHH risk assessments in a variety of situations and of implementing appropriate workplace policies.

• Use of hazard data sheets
• The COSHH framework
• How to do an assessment
• The variety of control strategies
• When to carry out air monitoring and health surveillance
• How to use the Health and Safety Executive ‘COSHH Essentials’ – a tool for risk assessment and implementing COSHH in small and medium sized organisations
• An overview of the new REACH regulations
