Introduction:
This course gives a practical overview of employment legislation and the effects it could have on your organisation. The effects of the Employment Rights Act 1996, Employment Relations Act 1999 and Employment Act 2002 and any subsequent legislation will be referred to during the workshop.

- Defining who is an employee/worker

- Maternity/parental and other leave rights
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Employment tribunals
- An appreciation of the Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 as amended with emphasis on contracting out
- Other Employment Regulations including current and proposed changes
