Introduction:
This qualification sets out the nationally recognised standards for providing services and resources to facilitate learning. It focuses on the facilitation and learning opportunities with individuals. The candidate will either be assisting with the management or directly managing other learning providers within the organisation.
Initial interviews and induction will take place on an individual basis to ensure that the candidate is working on the correct NVQ for their job role.
Course objectives/key benefits:
Based on national standards of City and Guilds, this course provides candidates with a framework for demonstrating their competence as key learning providers and also their role in the management and co-ordination of learning within their organisation. By the end of the programme candidates will have developed their knowledge of training theory and practice.
Who the course is aimed at:
Personnel who are key learning providers who support and manage the learning and development function within an organisation.
Course content:
Each candidate works with an assessor who will assess their skills against criteria for the qualification. The assessor will aid the candidate with portfolio construction and observe them within a working environment.
It is expected that most candidates will take approximately one year to complete the programme as it is designed to be flexible and can be adjusted to meet candidates' individual needs and timescales. If not achieved within the agreed timescales there may be additional costs.
Course outcome/qualification:
Learning and Development NVQ Level 4.
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:
No specific qualifications are necessary, but achievement of a Level 3 Learning and Development award would be an advantage. Candidates must be involved in the management of training /teaching as well as being a learning provider as they will require real evidence from these activities to support their claim for competence in this qualification.
