Course objectives/key benefits:
To develop an individual’s knowledge of the safety requirements, MAGS welding technology and the practical application of the Metal Arc Gas Shielded welding process.
Who the course is aimed at:
Skilled or semi skilled welders involved in production or maintenance work requiring an introduction or industrial updating of the M.A.G.S welding process.
Course content:
- Safety as applied to the metal arc gas shielded welding process
- Basic principles of the metal arc gas shielded welding equipment
- Correct storage and selection of welding consumables
- Welds to be completed on steel, thickness ranging from 1mm - 10mm plate as appropriate to delegates requirements
Course tutor:
Steve Fitzgerald Training method: Classroom theory and practical workshop sessions.
Course outcome/qualification:
PTC Certificate of Attendance.
In addition, certification associated to welder coding and/or welding procedure(s) can be arranged. Certification applicable to BS4872 and/or BSEN287/equivalent and/or ASME IX as appropriate – please enquire for details.
