Course objectives/key benefits:
To develop an individual’s knowledge of the safety requirements, Oxy-Acetylene process technology and the practical application of oxy-acetylene brazing.
Who the course is aimed at:
Skilled or semi skilled welders involved in refrigeration and/or maintenance work requiring an introduction or industrial updating related to oxy-acetylene brazing.
Course content:
- Safety as applied to oxy-acetylene welding process
- Basic principles of the oxy-acetylene welding equipment
- Correct storage and selection of brazing consumables
- Welds to be completed on materials ranging from 1mm - 3mm thick or above as appropriate to delegates requirements Course tutor:

Classroom theory and practical workshop sessions.
Course outcome/qualification:
PTC Certificate of Attendance and Compressed Gasses Passport.
In addition, certification associated to welder coding and/or welding procedure(s) can be arranged. Certification applicable to relevant national or international standards as appropriate – please enquire for details.
