Course objectives/key benefits:
To develop an individual’s knowledge of the safety requirements, Oxy-Acetylene process technology and the practical application of the Oxy-Acetylene welding process.
Who the course is aimed at:
Skilled or semi skilled welders involved in production or maintenance work requiring an introduction or industrial updating of the oxy-acetylene welding process.
Course content:
- Safety as applied to oxy-acetylene welding process
- Basic principles of the oxy-acetylene welding equipment
- Correct storage and selection of welding consumables
- Welds to be completed on steel, thickness ranging from 1mm-5mm and above as appropriate to delegates requirements
Course tutor:
Steve Fitzgerald Training method: Classroom theory and practical workshop sessions.
Course outcome/qualification:
PTC Certificate of Attendance.
In addition, certification associated to welder coding and/or welding procedure(s) can be arranged. Certification applicable to BS4872 or as appropriate – please enquire for details.
Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:
